Infiniti Retail Ends Partnership With Woolworths

BANGALORE - Tata Group company Infiniti Retail Ltd. has ended a five-year sourcing partnership with Australian retailer Woolworths Ltd., the Economic Times reported Monday, citing unnamed people close to the development.
Infiniti didn't renew an agreement between the two companies which ran out in October, the people said.
Infiniti Retail had a sourcing deal with Woolworths, under which its Croma stores bought all its merchandise exclusively from Woolworths India Ltd., a wholly owned unit of the Australian company.
Woolworths, which provided wholesale and some retail management expertise to Infiniti Retail, is understood to be exploring legal options to challenge Infiniti Retail's decision to call off the partnership, the report added.
