LK Advani’s yatra to enter Gujarat today

Ahmedabad: Senior BJP leader LK Advani’s Jan Chetna Yatra is all set to enter Gujarat on Sunday. All eyes will be on Narendra Modi as he prepares to welcome the patriarch of the party in his state.

It has been learnt that the Chief Minister has prepared a grand welcome for Advani and will shower flower petals on him from a helicopter.

Advani and Modi will come face to face in almost fifty days. The two last met on September 17 when Advani went to Gujarat to extend his support to Modi for his Sadbhavna fast.It must be noted that LK Advani was to initially start his yatra from Modi’s state but later shifted to Sitab Diara in Bihar, the birthplace of Jayprakash Narayan, amidst reports that the senior BJP leader was reportedly miffed at Modi.

Narendra Modi will accompany Advani throughout the two days that he will spend in Gujarat. The yatra will cover Surat, Vadodara and Ahmedabad in the next two days, party spokesperson IK Jadeja said.

Advani's yatra entered Union Territory of Daman and Diu yesterday night where he said that the 21st century would belong to India, if the black-money stashed in foreign banks is brought back to the country.

"There is huge amount of black money stashed in foreign banks, if that is brought to the country then the 21st century will be that of India," he said criticising the Central government on the issue.

"The purpose of this yatra is to make people aware of inflation and corruption," he said.
